Weight Loss and Exercises
Hi everyone,
I've set up this website as a helper to anyone who
is looking to improve their lifestyle, change their pant size, or drop some pounds.
You'll find numerous tips, tricks and advice designed to help you
understand the basics with these concepts. For many of you this will be a refresher, but surprisingly more and more
people today are not taught the basics on weight loss techniques through exercise and nutrition.
There is a lot of infomation out there. Some of it
is so terrible that we wouldn't even see the scale move if we used the program for years. Others throw us on a
yo-yo spin to nowhere. Yet other information available to us is so good that we wonder why we haven't had access to
it for all of these years. Believe it or not our waistlines are big business. So we want to cut through the bull
and get to the truth.
This website will not reinvent the wheel. You will not find "5 minutes a day to change your
life" formulas here. The truth is it takes a combination of nutrition, exercise and good muscle building
techniques to make lasting changes to our waistline. The programs discussed on this website are all recommended in some shape or fashion. They all
have areas of strength and would be more than valid in the fight against buldge.
When deciding what kind of weight loss program is right for
you, remember what you really want to get out of it: permanent weight loss. It’s important that you keep
yourself healthy, since that should be the whole point in the first place. You also want to make sure there are no
negative side-effects to the way you lose weight, so no crash diets that involve consuming very low amounts of
carbohydrates, herbs that you’re unsure about, or an exercise regime your body can’t handle.
One of the great misconceptions about losing weight and getting
healthy is that you have to keep yourself motivated all the time. This is ridiculous, and the whole reason for
getting into a weight loss program is to help you with those moments where you slip up. Nobody, and I mean NOBODY,
stays motivated at all times. What’s important is that you have trained your body and mind to work through these
moments. It’s not starting a diet and exercise regime that counts; it’s sticking to it through the difficult
periods.
On that note, remember that you’re not perfect, and there will
probably be times where you gorge yourself on a pizza or a carton of ice cream. Inevitably, feelings of guilt and
depression will follow, and this is the time where you’ll really need to forge ahead and make the right decision.
Otherwise you’ll find yourself self-medicating with more food for a short term fix, that is, the foods
that are the least healthy. In these times, you have to learn to forgive yourself for slipping, and promise
yourself that you’ll immediately return to the weight loss program even though it’s hard.
So make sure your weight loss program is one that you can
follow without burning yourself out. Start with baby steps, and don't take on goals that are too hard as they will
increase the likelihood you won’t reach them. Make realistic goals from the get go and reward yourself in
small doses as you achieve those goals.
Taking on a weight loss program is a big decision, and you
should be proud of this step in the right direction, and every step after. Remember that losing weight isn’t easy
for anyone, but if you stick to it you’ll soon be feeling great, and your body will thank
you.
